The demographic information (e.g., business location, type of business, etc.) you provide us is collected by SPCC and is not disclosed to third parties. This demographic information cannot be used to personally identify you or your computer. We may merge site-visitation data with anonymous demographic information for research purposes, and we may use this information in aggregate to provide more relevant content.

We occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, including packaging, mailing and delivering purchases, answering questions about products or services, sending postal mail and processing event registration. We will only provide those companies the information they need to deliver the service, and they are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.

  • Protect and defend the rights or property of SPCC and its web site

  • Investigations of fraud, intellectual property right infringements, or other activity that is illegal

  • Act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of SPCC staff, users of SPCC products or services, or members of the public

Sharing of Information
SPCC may share your personal information with outside entities hired to assist with internal website support operations (e.g., services provided, e-mail, technical support, etc.). These entities will not use your personal information for any other purpose, and have agreed to maintain confidentiality, security, and integrity of information they obtain from SPCC.

SPCC does not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose personal information collected from and about its website visitors to third parties. However, in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or other similar event, SPCC's client information may be transferred to SPCC's successor or assign, if permitted by and done in accordance with applicable law.

Clear GIFs, Cookies and IP Addresses
Clear GIFs, sometimes called "web bugs" or “pixel tags,” are file objects, usually a graphic image such as a transparent one pixel-by-one pixel GIF (Graphics Interchange Format, one of the two most common file formats for images on the Web), that are placed on a Web page or in an e-mail message to monitor user behavior. The GIF tells us the IP address of the computer that fetched our page, the URL of the page the GIF is on, the time the page was viewed, the type of browser used, and it can also identify a previously set cookie value. This anonymous information is returned by the clear GIF to SPCC and we may use this information to accurately count visitors across our web sites and understand how they navigate and use our network of web sites. SPCC does not combine information gathered through clear GIFs with your personal information.

SPCC reserves the right to use "cookies" to enhance your experience at our website. Cookies are pieces of information that we place on your computer to help us accurately understand how many visitors are viewing a particular site, how often they visit that site and the content viewed. For example, a cookie will allow us to remember certain things based on your Internet Protocol or "IP" address (an IP address is the string of numbers that identifies each sender or receiver of information that is sent across the Internet), such as the time and duration of your visits, how you navigated through our content and where you exited a particular site.

SPCC reserves the right to collect IP addresses for the purposes of system administration, to report aggregate information to third party marketing firms, and to audit the use of our web sites. When visitors request pages on our website, our servers may log the visitor's IP address. We do not link the IP address to your personally identifiable information. This ensures that your session will be logged, but you remain anonymous to us.

Log Files
Other information passively collected by SPCC is in the form of logs -- files that record web site activity and gather statistics about web user's browsing habits. These entries are generated anonymously, and help SPCC determine (among other things) how many and how often users have visited our website, the pages visited, and other similar data. We also use the log file entries for our internal marketing and demographic studies, so we can constantly improve the online services we provide you.

Safeguarding Information
SPCC only collects information to the extent deemed reasonably necessary to serve our legitimate business purposes. In addition, we will take appropriate steps to ensure the security and integrity of any information you provide to us. Any information provided to us is stored in an access controlled data center. Your information is protected by firewalls, intrusion detection, anti-virus, anti-spyware, passwords, and related security mechanisms.

Update and Removal of Information
Once registered with us, you may at any time review and/or update the contact information we have for you or inform us that you want us to remove your information from our database. Simply contact us to change, update, or have us remove your information. If your request is sent via e-mail, please include in your message the service or communication you received.

Privacy Rights
Civil codes may permit individuals to request information regarding the disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. At this time we do not share your information with unaffiliated third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
